No, the admission fee is not refundable, unless there are extenuating circumstances. Though we will transfer the credit.
How do I reserve a seat?

What is the admission fee for FragFest events?
Day events: $20 Paid online, $30 At-the-door (registered) or $35 at the door without any registration. Overnight events: $30 Paid online, $40 At-the-door (registered) or $45 at the door without any registration. Overnight events will generally vary. Special events will have pricing as advertised.
What are the chances that I dont get a spot?
We can make no guarantee that a spot will be available for you unless you prepay or confirm. We only setup enough tables, chairs, power cable and network cable for the expected attendance. Total expected attendance is the amount of people who have confirmed. If you register and do not confirm, you are not counted in the total. In the past there have been spare spots left when FragFest events have started due to people registering and not attending on the day.
We are 6 people going together, do we need to pay seperately?
Online: Our online payment system doesn't at this stage allow you to pay for others or for more than one person at a time. Though there is nothing to stop you from using the same paypal account for more than one persons payment. At-the-door: A group arriving at the same time can pay with larger notes. This isn't a problem.
How old do I have to be to attend a FragFest event?
Age limit varies from event to event. Day events are generally 15+ and overnighters 18+. Persons outside these ages will need to register with a legal guardian. Be that a relative over 18 or someone who is legally able to care for you. 15-18 years olds at a day event should always have mobile phones so they can contact a carer if needed.
My child is attending a FragFest event, what should I know?
Please read our Information for Parents
Are there rules that I need to follow?
Yes, please read our Rules and Etiquette.
At the Party
I have a network problem, who should i talk to?
Talk to anyone wearing a distinctive staff shirt.
Where can I smoke?
You are free to smoke outside the venue but smoking within the venue is strictly prohibited.
Please be considerate by smoking well away from the doors as people may be sensitive to the smoke and the smell may be confused with frying electronics.
Can I consume alcohol at the event?
Alcohol may not be consumed on the premises, inside or outside. You are of course, free to go any of the near by clubs or bars to enjoy a few drinks. However persons who are drunk will be removed from the event.
How many computers/monitors/etc can I bring?
Each person is permitted to bring one (1) desktop computer case of a normal size and one monitor. Or one laptop. Although there is no strict monitor size limit, it must fit within your desk space.
Is parking free?
Yes! parking is free at our St Marys venue and our Blaxland venue, for our day and overnight events respectively.
Where can I park my car?
For Blaxland High Events, we have a map of where to park. For St Marys, you need to park your car in the outdoors parking lot at the front of the venue.
How close can I drive my car to the front entrance?
The front entrance is for loading and unloading only, you cannot park at the front entrance. You need to park your car in the outdoors parking lot at the front of the venue.
How can I get my stuff from the car to inside of the party place?
Unfortunately, for our day events at St Marys, you will need to carry your equipment into the venue. We recommended that you leave your gear locked in your car whilst you sign in for the event. Having signed in, carry in what you can without overloading yourself. Although you are excited to get in and start gaming, its best that you get all your gear inside safely rather than damaging it. One trip for your monitor, one for your case and one for your food & bag is usually a safe arrangement.
Can my parents/friends/somebody come inside while helping me to get my stuff in?
Although we have do not allow non-participants access to the event, we try to be flexible in allowing people to have assistance from their parents/friends/etc with setting up their computer. As long as this isn't abused, we will continue to allow helpers.
How much space do I have at my seat?
Each table seats two people with enough room for one person, a monitor, a keyboard and mouse in each half. If there isn't enough room for a person to sit next to you then you have taken up too much space. We try to be flexible but we will enforce your neighbors right to have his whole half desk space.
Towers can go on top of the desk if there is room, otherwise under the table is best. Heavy towers (ie towers that you cant comfortably hold in your arms for a sustained period) must be on the floor and under your desk. Please keep towers out of the ailes.
Can I bring a shelf to put up at my place?
Yes, within your table space, and without making any damage to our tables. (Ie no nails or screws and such..) It also have to be put up safe and not fall apart, staff will decide if the shelves are safe to use, if not you will have to dismount it. Remember, safety comes first. :-)
What tournaments will there be at FragFest events this year?
Check the News section of We review tournaments at the end of every event to determine if they will continue to the next event or if they will be replaced with something different. Please be patient while the review process is in effect, tournament details will be posted prior to the event.
What speed will the Internet connectivity be?
Internet connectivity is not offered as part of FragFest events. It is available to facilitate certain games and services from running such as Steam. The connection is shared by everyone at the event anf there isn't sufficient speed to download or play online games. So please, be sensible, don't try, it only serves to slow down everyone else who is trying you use it. The connection is more than adequate for light browsing, email and instant messaging, feel free to make use of these services.
How much electric power will I get?
FragFest provides power to every table, each person will get one power socket on the FragFest power setup to run their own powerboard from. Powerboards may be borrowed from FragFest with a $5 deposit. Double adapters are forbidden as are UPS's, do not use these under any circumstances To minimize problems, only plug your gear into your designated outlet (ie. the red one in front of you) not the power boards of other guests.
We also have a Tutorial on electrical safety
How do I connect to the network?
We will provide all network cabling, your cable will already be plugged in and sitting on your desk ready for you to plug into the back of your pc. We will be running fully managed and switched 10/100mbps network. See How to configure your network settings for information on how to connect to the network.
Can I bring my own fridge, waffle iron, coffee maker, etc?
No, that will blow the fuses and make everyone angry at you. Be sensible don't bring any additional electrical appliances, you wont need them.
How is the security?
We can not guarantee that nothing will be stolen, although this hasn't been a problem in the past. It might be a good idea to bring small gadgets with you when you leave your seat, or make sure some of your friends are watching your stuff.
What if my computer or other stuff is stolen broken at a FragFest event?
FragFest is not responsible for any economical losses, direct or indirect, due to circumstanses connected to the event. However, we have never had any big problems with theft or malice earlier and we don't expect future evnts to be any different. We do however recommend you look after you things.
What kind of speakers/sound system can I bring??
Headphones and headsets are all that are permitted. No speakers, amps, subs etc. This spares you from other peoples crappy music and other people from your crappy music!
What are stuffed animals doing on top of pcs?
Its not uncommon at FragFest to see stuffed animals sitting proudly atop the neon glow of a modern gaming pc. We encourage people to enhance their lanparty experience by giving their pc and desk more character by means of a 'Mascot'. A mascot is usually a small, extremely cute, stuffed animal. Usually such a creature is won at a place like lunar park, time zone or bought from a novelty store. Generally one mascot is appropriate for each person and it is very appropriate to name your computer after you mascot.
We encourage everyone to find a unique and interesting mascot and join in the fun! Check out our Guide to mascots
Where are near by fast food outlets?
We have lists of some popular nearby outlets near St Marys Memorial Hall or for Frag-o-Thon events near Blaxland High School.
After the Party
How do I catch up with my new friends?
The best place to get in touch with people from the lan is through the FragFest Forums
FragFest was awesome, does it have a Facebook group?
Yes we do. Click here
I have some suggestions, where should i send them and will they be heard?
We do listen to and consider all feedback! Please post all feedback in the FragFest Forums. However its too late to ask for new tournaments etc in the week before an event - so don't be offended if your feedback is considered for later events.
I loved FragFest, can I easily register for all upcoming events?
Yes! Our registration system allows you to register and pay for all our upcoming events in one go. Give it a try>
Can I help out with the next event?
A lot of people want to get involved in the event, and we certainly need their help! The best way to get involved initially is to just hang back for 30 mins after an event and help pack up. If you're super keen, contact staff and arrange to come help out with set up in the morning. If you have a specific something in mind that you would like to organize as a sanctioned FragFest featurette then feel free to contact staff with your idea.
