Yup, so farewell Fudd has been and gone, the clean up is done. Etc It was our last lam at PHS, for our March LAN (and from then onwards), we will be hosting at St Mary's. A much better and cooler venue We hope.

FFL went quiet well. We set up the day before, so the day itself was far less stressful. All we had to do was setup the cable and POW! LAN in a can. Big props to Splint and some buddy of his as well as Little O who helped tape down the TP to the desks. Possibly other people as well. I thought that was a fairly funky innovation myself. Not that I thought of it or anything ;) People started rocking up at 9am, the ones that had prepaid, and some who just dont get the difference between "Staff", "Prepaid" and "Ordinary gamer". Sheesh ;)

So, the LAN was well and truely rocking up until about 10:30 (According to the webcam, which shows a mass stand-up of people. Most funny). This was the first of one of our power troubles. It seems that the box just couldnt handle the heat and was tripping the safety switch's. Hey, I would personally prefer that then for it to burn down. Especially since we have to pay for that. Once we got this sorted (And installed a state of the art fan to help cool things down) it once again went on rocking.

Lots of people, approximately 105, our biggest LAN todate Yay. The quake3 tournament went quiet smootlhly from what I gather As did the virtually non-existant THPS2 tournie (4 people entered). The CS tournie was cancelled due to the fact of the power and also we hate you CS players. No, really we do ;)

Network seemed to be going pretty rocking, Cheers Netgear for pulling through with 104 ports of switched goodness The servers from NMC also were kicking a bit of ass Note to self: Do not try and run like 5 or 6 CS games on the one computer.

Some more power outages came and went. We were able to narrow the problems down to one group of like 6 computers. People plugging powerboards into powerboards into powerboards into powerboards into poweboards into powerboards into powerboards doesnt help either. DONT bring powerboards, you definately dont need it. A double adapter _MAYBE_ if your case doesnt have a monitor loopthrough thingy. And definately dont plug your stuff into other peoples boards and shit. That was one of the reasons for all the trouble But anyhoo.

Cleanup took for freakin' ever. We just ended up going home at like 12:30. Thanks to Talis, Annoyingsider (Erm, insider ;) and some others for cleaning up I had to go back the next night _BY MY SELF_ *sobs* and finish the clean up. Next LAN will be huge. More LANage then you can poke a dog at And we will have a brand spanking new power box Complete with like, water cooling and and and and..overclocked circuits and stuff.
