Lan101 over

Well, Lan101 is well and truly over. So far i have only had 1 question about the LAn, so to answer once and for all: Yes, thats is me posing as a DJ in the photos, and Yes, those are my decks and mixer. I really dont see what the big deal is.

ANyway The LAN was good, My computer had some big issued but they settled down in the afternoon, but is is very much time for a new 3dfx card. MTA was fun but still needs some serious development, it is both laggy and very buggy. I was also very dissapointed by the removal of the Firetruck, by far the funniest part of MTA at the last lan involved me, johno, a firetruck, a small alley and the side of a ship.

UT2004 would have been better if people would start voting for maps that are designed for about 10 people, instead of the maps which were choosen that as a general rule were designed to fit a reinforced armoured division.

As always some H/L Deathmatch went down, which would have been more fun if i wasnt playing it in software on my old laptop (see above issues with my main computer). Along with 99% of nerds worldwide i am looking forward to the release of HL2.

Although most people there were either enjoying the background music or not fussed one way or the other, there was one complaint. So, to anyone who doesnt like Trance and House and various other forms of electronic music, it might be a good idea not to sit directly infront of the speakers. At any rate shouldn't everyone be wearing a set of headphones and engrossed in some game? Oh well whatever.

Splint and his buddy were getting some serious Soldat action as well, i joined briefly but got distracted by the possibilty of playing UT.

As far as i know there were no problem during the day, not that we could do anything about anyway, there was a Brownout throughout the St Marys Area, but that was all that i know of.

Internet- Despite scaling walls and risking our personal well being (as well as possibly getting fined for excedding FCC microwave transmitions regulations) the internet connection wasnt that great. But we tried our best.

Tourneys - I think Tourneys just dissapeared, at least as far as i can remember they didnt take place.
