Due to recent commentry i want to go over our online marketing policy.

Firstly, we are happy to link and post news about other gaming groups when asked. You will notice to the left of this page are two such lan gaming groups who have asked. Links will remain untill such time as your lan discontinues or the url ceases to work. We are also happy to post news articles regarding events.

In addition you are also free to post emails to the bong email discussion list, if you are not a member of the list your post will first be moderated before it hits the list.

We do not have a web based forum as we feel a proper email list is more effective and less prone to flaming (which it has proved to be)

We will not do a mail out to advertise other events or sponsors.

As for our own posting, we will post to once to public gaming forums as a public announcement unless asked not too. We are not attempting to flame but rather to get word out, and so we will post once in the 'LAN Partys' or 'General Discussion' (or equivalent) section where possible. Generally threads will be subscribed to, but serious feedback should be directed to staff. We do not consider online forums a serious, or official means of communication.

For the record we have been asked to discontinue posting in some forums, and also we have rejected some cross promotional requests which we have felt are unreasonable (we are not going to promote your site beyond our major sponsor simply to get a single post on your forums)

If you feel a link would be an appropriate thankyou for allowing a post, then please contact us through an official channel (ie, by emailing staff AT bong etc...)

At this point we have had lots of flaming and no actual requests.
