onward to JanLAN!

having just got home from a very successfull phaLANx i just wanted to drop some details up regarding our next event 'JanLAN'.

Everyone should be awair that we are still at the same *location* but not in the same *venue* if that makes sense. Due to construction and renovations etc on the memorial hall it is unavailable and so we will be using the community centre (which is the old library) located at the rear of the memorial hall.

As previously detailed the work on the memorial hall will hopefully only take 6 months. So as a minimum we will be there for the next three events.

Also after reflecting on the space available we have re-set the player limit down from 100 to 80 persons. This may go up after the first event as we get some actual experience using the venue.
Since demand is at about 80 places right now, we estimate things should go well. Prepayments will be rewarded with guarenteed places.

Can i just say that i think the community centre in some ways is a *better* venue in that is has carpet, a nice reception, two sets of toilets and also air conditioning. Its also at exactly the same location, so if you forget it wont be a problem.
