Sad news from 'The LAN'

Today we recieved the following saddening news from 'The LAN' admins in Bathurst

It is with great sadness and deep regret that The LAN announces the passing of Nick 'Zebbie' Hatton. Zebbie passed away earlier this morning of health complications resulting from an obstructive Duodenal cancer he was diagnosed with late last year. He was 38 years old.

The LAN wishes to pass on our best wishes and thoughts to his wife, Bron and his son, Will.

Zebbie has been involved with gaming LANs and lanning for a long time, being involved with Multiplay UK and then here in Australia after he immigrated in 2003. Zebbie joined The LAN at its inception in 2007, being our server and network guru and a fantastic IT resource in Bathurst. He was a great friend and colleague. He was always keen to help anyone out or provide his professional IT skills. His dry British wit was great to have around at our events and we will all miss him dearly.

Zebbie actally attended a few of our events in the (fairly distant) past, and of course we are always saddened by the untimely passing of any members of the LANparty community. Please check 'The LAN's website for further details regarding Funeral arrangements etc.
